The entire project took about three weeks, and from start to finish, their team was professional, responsive, and a pleasure to work with.

One of the things we appreciated most was how considerate they were of our family’s situation—we have a baby at home and were living in the house throughout the renovation. They were always mindful of noise, kept the space clean, and made sure to minimize disruption as much as possible.

My project was a rescue project after dealing with some unethical electricians and decorators. TureForm was a breath of fresh air, they turn up and do what is discussed and don't haggle and upsell needlessly. The business acumen and thoughtfulness are not one normally describes the construction industry (especially after my earlier dealings on this project) but I believe TureForm have the right balance and come out on top as being skilled trades  who deliver great results and more importantly "their word" - something that is normally too often an alien concept in the construction industry. Mechanical systems sized for a house that has already been extended once — none of it is unusual in King City, and none of it should arrive as a surprise invoice.

We open the areas we can before pricing, and we say plainly what cannot be known until demolition. Where something is uncertain it goes in the contract as an allowance with a number attached.

Permits Without the Runaround

Kitchens that move plumbing, change structure or alter the electrical layout usually need a permit. King Township issues the permit, and properties on private septic and well systems have to be reviewed on those terms.

We handle the application, the inspections and the paperwork that follows, and we schedule around the city rather than promising dates it will not meet.

One Contract, Start to Finish

Design and construction sit in the same company, so the person drawing your kitchen answers to the person building it. That is the whole reason the price can be fixed: nobody is bidding against a drawing they have never seen.

Kitchen Work Across King City

We build kitchens across King City, from King City, Nobleton and Schomberg. The work is the same in each of them: measure properly, price honestly, put it in a contract, and build it with one team that stays on the job until the deficiency list is clear.

Most of the calls we take are from homeowners who have already been quoted twice and cannot make the numbers line up, because the two quotes describe different work. A written scope is what makes them comparable.

Where a property is on well and septic, the plumbing plan has to respect a capacity a city house never thinks about, and we design to it from the start.

How much does a new kitchen cost in King City?

It depends on the size of the room, whether plumbing and electrical move, and the level of the finishes. A cosmetic refresh and a full gut job are different projects with different numbers, so the useful quote is the one with a written scope, allowances and exclusions rather than a single figure.

How long does the work take?

Most run six to eight weeks on site once demolition starts. Custom cabinetry, permits and inspections are what stretch that, which is why the schedule is agreed before the contract is signed rather than after.

Do I need a permit for my kitchen?

Usually yes if the work moves plumbing, changes structure or alters the electrical layout, and no for straightforward finish upgrades. King Township issues the permit, and properties on private septic and well systems have to be reviewed on those terms. We check the property first and handle the applications when they are needed.

Can I stay in the house while you work?

Most people do. We isolate the work area, protect the routes through the house, keep the dust down and set up a temporary kitchen where there is room for one. What we will not do is promise you a working sink in week three when there is not going to be one.

Do you work outside King City?

Yes. We build across the GTA, including Aurora, Vaughan and Richmond Hill, with the same fixed-price contract and the same five-year workmanship warranty.

How do you compare with the other companies quoting my kitchen?

Ask each of them for three things: a fixed-price contract with allowances written into it, proof of liability insurance, and a warranty you can read. Compare those side by side and the shortlist usually gets short quickly.
